This has been a long time in the making, so I'm excited to finally announce it.
The Mechalarum ebook is going FREE on Amazon November 21 through November 25!!!! Woooo!!!!!
I've set up a page on the Mechalarum website with details (and a sign-up to be reminded when the free promo launches). Signing up also enters you to win one of five signed paperback copies of of the book. It doesn't get much better than this!
But wait, there's more! To celebrate the free promotion, I'm going on a blog book tour. What's a blog book tour? It's similar to a traditional book tour, but done virtually. The awesome bloggers on my list have been kind enough to post interviews, excerpts, guest posts and more great content.
The book tour has already begun! David Kristoph was kind enough to host my first tour stop on his blog.
Here's an excerpt to whet your whistle:
DK: What's your writing process like? Is there a specific time and place you prefer to write?
EL: My writing process is pretty chaotic. I have a lot of work to get through, so I often find myself writing at weird times and/or in weird places. You can find me pounding away at my desktop keyboard at two in the morning, or sitting on the couch with my laptop and a cat (or two) in the afternoon. I’ve been known to write on the subway, outside of laundromats, and on the shores of hidden forest lakes.
Why am I going on tour now? Well, the first draft of Mechalarum was written during National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) exactly five years ago. Yep, you heard right - the entire 80,000+ word draft written in a mere thirty days. Pretty cool, huh? Of course, that's only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to taking a story idea and making it into a real-world book. But it's a great way to motivate yourself to make sure your novel sees the light of day, and doesn't just get caught rattling around in your brain.
There's more great stuff happening this month, but I'll hold onto that for another fun announcement soon.
Have any questions about the promo? I'm happy to answer!
